Thank you for your question and we apologies for the inconvenience. We are aware of this import/export issue and plan to resolve it in the release.
To use the Import/Export for the theme options for now, you can get it working by turning on ‘WP_DEBUG’ to ‘true’ in your ‘wp-config.php’ file. After you import your settings, change back to ‘false’.
For the color scheme however, unfortunately you will have to manually recreate them for now.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience but please do let me know how you go.

In my opionion, two decimal places is sufficient. I can’t remember ever needing more than that in my career as a web developer.

We had a look at the spacing setting and your original comment is correct, the size does indeed double from steps 4 to 5 which is not ideal. (https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.3/utilities/spacing/)

So, we have had a closer look at how we could provide a better experience here and give greater control. Based on your feedback we’ve started work on a more advanced control for spacing and I’m happy to share an early design for the new component. This will be included in the next release which is due out at the end of the month.

Concept

We will also be doing away with the dropdown boxes and allowing free number input to 2dp.

I would be keen to get your opinion on whether we should allow up to 4 decimal places for the input of if 2 is sufficient. That is, 14.2567px or 14.25px

Thanks for the feedback and we’ll have a more detailed look at this. I can understand where you are coming from with this and you’re right, at the present time the Padding and Margins use the Bootstrap spacing utilities (https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.3/utilities/spacing/) for padding and margin. Our goal here was to provide responsive-friendly margin or padding setting which can be harder to achieve with absolute values. We’ve also added some “smaller steps” in to the CSS than the vanilla bootstrap classes but this still doesn’t give as fine grain input as the one you mentioned.

We’ll get back to you shortly with the actual “steps” as I don’t think it should be doubling from step 4-5 so this indeed could be a bug.

Nonetheless, we are currently planning the backlog for the next release and will have a look at the potential to include the option of setting values based on rem, %, or px for margin and padding.

I’ve logged both of these items and we will get back to you shortly.
